Hi!
I really can't understand why the maddies selected "Drip Fed Fred" as the
next and (perhaps) Madness' last single. I really like the song and it's
even among my Wonderful Top 5, but I don't believe that this song appeals to
the masses. As "Wonderful" has left the charts so quickly, I hoped, that
with a new great single they could return. But DFF is -in my opinion- just a
track for fans. I don't think that enough people will like a chorus like "We
want Freddie for our leader...".
B.t.w. the chorus for JTH is a shame too ("Doo doodle eh do do Ditto
Woooh!!") (you will hate me for this). I love the lyrics of most of the
Wonderful songs, but for a single you should release something less childish
(p.e. Elysium, Saturday night... or No money).
I hope, I'm wrong and "DFF" makes its way to the top ten, but I can't
believe it.
How popular is Ian Dury in the U.K.?
Bye, Lars
