Good point Andrew! Well I'll have to take this up with Dotmusic as they
said the PSBs became the first to have Top 40 hits in the last 3 decades
just last week! Maybe they meant Top 40 entries as Cliff's dirge is just a
Christmas hangover!??
As for most successful solo artist, it has to be Madonna! She churned out
top 5 after top 5 from late '84 right through. An absolutely *ridiculous*
number of hits. I'm sure she managed to eclipse Michael Jackson (the not so
pale!) in terms of singles, obviously not albums.
