While I can fully understand and support Mr Smash`s views on "a certain CD"
it does tend to point out that we the fans are desperate for any new or rare
material.
I think the idea of a members area on the official site is an excellent one,
a kind of M.I.S. for the 21st century!
I also agree with Andy Clayden that a tape or CD for members is a better
idea than downloads, after all any download would doubtless be in Real Audio
format and to be fair R.A. is lousy for sound quality!
As regards Carl being (in Scatty`s words) a diamond geezer, again I have to
agree with this. One of my fondest memories of Covent Garden was despite
seeing 1000s of people during the day each time I later walked into him Carl
remembered who I was and had time for a few words. Added to that the times
he, and other band members, have gone along to meets. When you consider
that none of these times had anything to do with the media (i.e. a publicity
stunt) it goes to prove that Madness/Crunch/VG are indeed bands who actually
care more for their fans than for the amount of money in fan`s pockets!
Bloody hell 2 posts from me in a month! I better go lie down in a dark room
to recover!!!!
