These are valid points, but I think in people's minds,
it's still going to be perceived as "the Madness
musical." Do you think Mamma Mia is seen as anything
but an ABBA musical?
True. I do remember thinking how sad it was when Boy George released his
musical. The 80's revival taking to the stage and all that. But hopefully,
hand on heart, Madness have got someone reliable enough to produce
something original, interesting and at the very least freshly entertaining.
If not, the future could be bleaker especially given the current climate of
fake popstars freshly manufactured under the guise of talent shows.
Note : Boy George has reportedly been trying to sleep with
himself.....apparently he fancies the guy who plays him in the musical.
