I have the Touch and though it has a few issues with Mac (Server part) it has great sound. I am running coax out to a Bryston BDA-1 and the sound quality is definitely a step up from the same exact setup except the SB3 was in its place. More clarity and detail from top to bottom. So much less jitter? Or better quality parts, idk. And 24/96 is unbelievable. Listening to some Grateful Dead sound boards 24/96 and you can hear a lot of spatial information and air between voices and instruments and instruments sound more real. Im enjoying my Touch!
