I know that this has been mentioned in other threads (thank you John
Swenson, probably others....), BUT, we need to make this very very
prominent:

See: http://www.logitech.com/assets/30072/documentation.pdf

Read it!!!

Some of the things that I thought were BUGS turn out to be documented
DEEP in the manual.

- You should not expect non-a/c powered hard drives to work unless they
are plugged into a USB hub that is a/c powered. The Touch might
partially power a USB drive enough to recognize it but you don't end up
with a scanned drive and ability to play music. You need to plug such
drives into a USB a/c powered hub. Most of us discovered this the HARD
way! Some might have even purchased USB powered drives just for this
application. Sigh.

- You can plug both an SDHC card and a USB hard drive into the Touch
but it will only recognize and play the first one that you plug in.
There is apparently some way to "eject" one to play the other.

I estimate I've lost at least an hour, maybe two, trying to accomplish
things that even the tech writer at Logitech knows cannot be done!

Sigh.
