Yes I'm to much an engineer sometimes (my professional life is leaking over to my hobby's) :)
I can simply not resist a simpler and better technical solution. Why complicate things. My home decoration suffers instead, depends on point of view the slight loss of aesthetics is vastly compensated by the performance in my pow. Other people might see it differently.
