Take away "wireless issues" and "itunes issues" and most of this forum
goes away. :)

I live in a small town of 325 people (100 or so houses) I pick up no
less that 9 wireless connections at my house. Several I use for free
when my cable internet is down. :) 2 of the wireless connections are
from the wireless internet company my son works for. Lots of
opportunity for interference, signal degradation, etc.

When we bought this house we decided to take the time to run wire. The
house is 100 plus years old. It was a PITA to run the wire in
plaster/lath walls and under a crawlspace.
BUT.....we never have problems with our music system. It works 99.9% of
the time.

Wireless is an option to be sure but it is hardly the most optimum
option. The only thing we use wireless for is laptops and even then we
have three access points in the house to keep the signal strong.

Wireless is great but you are right about the hype...
