SuperQ, I agree, it would be interesting comparison between the two. If
I take the plunge and order a Touch I'll try and give DiffMaker a run
(although I'm no sound engineer).

If the difference in sound quality is supposedly mainly due to reduced
jitter, I wonder how much affect that would have for me. I use a
DACmagic, and the manufacturers make quite a big deal about how well it
deals with jitter introduced by digital sources. They claim that all
data is deliberately re-clocked by a "32 bit digital signal processor"
to provide "metronomic accuracy". Ahem.
