Hi I've read this thread with interest but can I ask a few questions to make sure I understand this?
I've been embedding art for the album cover in each file (firstly mp3 and now FLAC) using Mp3tag. I arrange my files is the usual way of artist/album/tracks. Sometimes I include additional art in the album folder - booklet pages or a higher resolution album cover. These jpegs have various names that might include cover.jpg and folder.jpg 1. Will multiple image files in the album folder confuse the server? 2. Does the server only look for files named cover.jpg or will it use any name as long as there's only one? 3. If only half the tracks had embedded art would SBS show any art in the album folder for the other tracks? Maybe all of this explains some problems I have with missing art when using the Touch built in server? I have a Touch with an attached 1.5TB hard drive. When my PC is running I run SB Server on that pointed (wirelessly) to the drive attached to the Touch. I can switch music source between the Touch direct or the PC. Through the PC I see all album art (and cover flow on the controller works great). Direct to the Touch many albums have no artwork (and cover flow is slow). I haven't confirmed it yet but the artwork seems to be missing from mp3s more than FLACs. If anyone can explain how album art works or answer my questions I'd be very grateful. Otherwise when I get a chance I'll try a few experiments with various combinations. -- Brasso ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Brasso's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34137 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80777 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
