Interestingly, just today I was quietly listening to Internet radio via Touch, with Touch volume down around 30-40, and was thinking it sounded pretty terrible. So reduced receiver volume and put Touch volume up to 100% for a comparison. Literally like night and day it was so much better. (Touch is feeding digital into an NAD AV receiver, which has a motorized analog volume control.) Now I have used Duet Receiver before with volume running much higher and not noticed significant loss of quality when feeding FLACs, but clearly there are going to be problems with removing a preamp if your amp's sensitivity causes you to have to turn the Touch volume way down. I certainly want the ability to use the Touch volume control for both the analog and digital outputs, but for ultimate quality it would nice to be able to fix it at 100%. -- ncarver ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ncarver's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15905 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77824 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
