Note that logitech is used to sell things in computer stores .

And have 1000's of products many of them very similar to each other
(mice is good example).

The local logitechs around the globe make some prediction orders x pc's
of whatever, they run out of one item they order some more if available
from factory.

Now comes this nmp (squeezeboxes) product they bought ? their
distribution model is simple not fit for this .

To successfully sell squeezeboxes all models and all accessories and
spares must be available all the time at all markets, it's a system
made to work together .
The fact that the let local logitech's around the globe cherry pick
parts of the system to sell, tells me that they really don't know how
to sell this. It should be all or nothing .

My speculation is that they are out of Touch ;)

Having a bussines model when they run inventory down to 0 before order
some more...
