It is speculation, but it's not "wild". And I don't follow your logic
at all. What difference does the label make? I would say you put up
the "Exclusively" label so that potential buyers aren't under the
mistaken impression that the product can still be purchased elsewhere.
If you want one, you're going to have to buy it here.

No, not if you can't reliably stock resellers with product. They may
be very near the end of their inventory, or sales volume may indicate
that the available stock won't last until the new product can reach the
US.

See the above. There's no reason to offer dicounted pricing on a
product that customers still believe is current, particularly if it
would increase the chances that Logitech will have yet another
Squeezebox product that is out of stock through all channels. It would
also effectively be an announcement that the product has been
discontinued. That announcement won't be made until a replacement
product has been announced.

The replacement could very well have additional upgraded features, such
as a larger screen. But yes, it could still be called the Touch. Or
the Touch 2.

Get _what_ under control, selling too many Touches?

Are you hoping that Logitech doesn't come out with a better Touch, one
that can run TinySC more reliably and with better performance than the
current one?
