Why what would work? Isn't paltomare merely saying that he got a 3rd-party remote to work with SB2/SB3, whereas 808htfan is talking about the fact that MySqueezebox.com doesn't let you choose to have it ignore IR codes? I can't think of any good reason that an SB3 would behave differently from SB2. A server can tell the difference, but IIRC, only by looking at the MAC address for the Squeezebox (older MAC = lower number?). It's conceivable that SBS or MySB might do something other than pick the more appropriate player icon for the Web and Controller UIs, but that seems really unlikely.
