I don't have a Mac so I am just using general principles.

Those message in conjunction with the messages below from the earlier
log seems to indicate from some applications that the network interface
is  working intermittently

If it is a intermittent problem - it could be a faulty a cable or
socket. Looking at the network interface statistics especially counters
associated with errors (e.g. connection resets, packet retransmits)
might help confirm it.
