It may be difficult to believe, but that was my experience. I first
bought the Lavry as I wanted better sound than my SB3 delivered. As
such, I was anticipating it would be the same with the Touch, but it
wasn't. 

Of course, others can blame my failure to appreciate the Lavry with the
Touch on my aged ears or lack of system resolution/fanciness/cost, but I
gave up the audiophile game quite some time ago. There are also plenty
of psychological aspects that can impact perceptions. 

The net result is I no longer needed the more expensive DAC to get the
full musical satisfaction I want from my system. Others may reach a
different conclusion so, yes, it's important others listen for
themselves.

As they say, YMMV.
