I have no experience with Sonos but have set up and manage 3 different Squeeze setups (one is for my sister her husband, who is a music loving technophobe) I have had to work through some issues, streaming esp hi bit music does tax wifi; a switch for example my overheat and crash for music when it worked fined otherwise; use a combination of Wifi and powerline Ethernet; have a mixture of touch, radio, boom, transporter, receiver & remote all scatter around; 95%++ uptime, great sounding very flexible system; live the ability to play high bit downloads from Linn records. I am a little worried about the future of Squeezebox and logitech's commitment but for now and the foreseeable future would recommend highly Use WHS for servers in all 3 locations; like them for things beyond feeding squeezebox; there are long-term questions about WHS too with all the challenges to the new system; I have a great music library ripped in FLAC; confident that it will serve my music needs for the far distant future, using squeeze for now and who knows what 5 years from now get it and enjoy!
