The Touch is a solid piece of equipment. The interface is intuitive and smooth. All the other SB players are good too; I've probably had the most headache with a receiver that I took out of commission for the Touch.
The server side of things is mature. Yesterday I built an i3 computer from barebones, installed the OS, and installed SBS 7.52 as the only software. Everything went well except that I forgot how to assign a static IP to the server computer. The whole thing took about 2 hours. I seldom if ever have dropouts due to Wifi. You can spend a lot more on Sonos and wind up with nice system or spend a lot less on SB, and once again, end up with a nice system. -- jimzak http://zzzone.net http://have-a-nice-day.org http://www.last.fm/user/zzzoneDOTnet http://somethingsomethingsomething.net Ripper: dBpoweramp Router: Lynksys WRT54GL Server: SBS 7.5.2 - Atom-based nettop - Win XP SP3 Player: 2 Booms, 1 Radio, 1 Touch Control: 2 controllers, 1 iPod Touch w/iPeng, 1 iPad w/iPeng for iPad & SqueezePad 'Library' (http://zzzone.net/photo/2009/music1.jpg): 70,000+ FLAC/MP3 files - 2TB external HD x 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jimzak's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17592 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=84267 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
