Well the latest gimic in the industry is “native”, that is 16/44.1 is
not oversampled. I am looking for the exact same solution for my
upcoming Rega DAC since I am not that keen on analog filters in the
near 20 k audio range. Yes it´s a high-end superb sounding machine at
native CD but since it´s 192 and 96 khz capable I will be able to use
the analog filter setting way up from the 20 khz range.
So a server based up sampling to either 88,2 or 96 would be nice.
