Hi Phil, As I said earlier I do not doubt your credentials in any way BUT ... I got a couple of the above items from Maplins and got my local TV repair man to solder one onto my linear 5v through a JLH Ripple Eater supply cable. Putting my multi-meter on the end confirmed 5v DC +ve centre supply but pushing it into the back of the Touch causes the 5v supply LED to flicker but the Touch would not power up. So do I have a faulty Touch or is the Maplin jack faulty or not the correct jack? Sorry for my confusion.
