the other instances are probably ok if not started/opened. But keep in mind that you only need ONE instance of SbS running on a computer. If you want to control the SB player from another room, you simply enter the IP address of the computer where SBS is running in a web browser. For example, I have SbS running on my main home server. That computer has a static IP address of 192.168.1.18. To access SqueezeboxServer (SbS) from ANY other computer in my home network (my laptop, my wife's laptop, etc.), I simply enter the following in the address bar of any of these computer's web browser (firefox, safari, chrome, IE, etc.): http://192.168.1.18:9000/ And this will open up the SbS for controlling things. I do NOT need to have a separate SbS program running on the other computers. -- garym ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85697 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
