I think you're making a couple of erroneous comparisons here. First, MediaMonkey is running on your laptop, not your NAS. Squeezebox Server (SBS) should also run fine on your laptop, so where is the inefficiency?
Second, MediaMonkey and SBS are very different programs. MM is an all-purpose media management, ripping, tagging, playing tool. SBS does pretty much one thing: stream data from a digital music library to one or more Squeezeboxes. As far as I know MM plays exactly one stream to one player, no more. SBS, on the other hand, can send different streams to different SBs, or send the same stream to multiple SBs and have them play in perfect sync. It's comparing apples and grapefruit. -- aubuti ------------------------------------------------------------------------ aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86717 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
