Hi Gary, Thanks for your very helpful post above. This is just an update so that you know I'm not ignoring you :) . I've set about 'cleaning' the FLAC library using mp3Tag and it's proving very time consuming, to say the least. First I got rid of anything that wasn't FLAC. This left me with a little over 9,500 tracks and then I started associating cover art with each CD or individual track. I'm about halfway through them ATM. I don't know whether this is relevant but the screen 'lock up' or 'freeze' also occurs when listening to internet radio. First thing that happens is that the 'Now Playing' track info disappears, then the screen doesn't change when the programme changes, say on the hour, when another DJ clocks in, the screen continues to display. This cannot be due to the state of my FLAC library surely? Cheers, Dave.
