The problem has nothing to do with wireless connections. My setup is just a Touch and a HDD connected in USB. The HDD has its own power supply. No connection to any network. Just using the internal Squeezebox Server. As said many times it is completely random, and not repeatable (meaning if one end of a track is skipped, if you rewind it will probably pass right the next time). However it happens very often. It happens for me with Apple Lossless and MP3. It has nothing to do with encoding since it is random and not repeatable.
So there is a problem with the squeezebox for sure. At least with the internal squeezebox server 7.5.4. Since I don't know how to downgrade I am stuck with this buggy software until the developers handle this bug. It has probably something to do with the handling of the audio buffer that bufferizes the next track while playing the current one. Sometimes instead of buffering it just starts to play the next track (but that is just a guess). -- DJKick ------------------------------------------------------------------------ DJKick's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=46300 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80474 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
