SBS is running on this PC, as I said. Neither turning off the Windows FW (there are exceptions already in place for both ports affected here) nor disableing AVG virus scan fixed the pinging issue. Yes I can play internet radio both from msb.com or the local server, but don't care for low bitrate music playback. Meanwhile the bug affecting playback of random songs still occurs, not grossly but it shouldn't happen at all. thanks for your effort anyway. Larry
