if the syno has this in the web-gui good :) I'm just overdoing stuff sometimes I always used ssh to my touch/controlle/radio due to not wanting to turn off dhcp i found that simple to do. it is stupid that you have to turn off dhcp to get Touch to give you posibilities to use static ip, it just plain stupid design no more no less. but maybe you can change network withput factory reset lately , what happens nowdays if go to the network menu and tries to conect it to a network ? i think it has improved so that network setup can be used without a factory reset ?
your advice better and simplier than mine here. i would maybe set up the dhcp range in the router to avoid the ones used by Toch and syno, so they reconect without conflicts when op lugs it back to his network to move some more files to it. -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
