3 cents? that's about what the cap mod cost me :) Throwing money at something isn't always necessary. I performed the "patch" as you call it, and the sound improvement was immense. The sound quality post "patch" nearly equals the L/R analog out of my dedicated CD player with BB PCM1796 DAC's (Dynamic Range: 123 dB, THD+N: 0.0005%).
