If I understand you correctly then the option is already there. If you
want to insert a track in the current playlist, touch-and-hold the
desired track. You will get a context menu, and on that menu is the
option "Play next" (or words to that effect). There is also the option
to add to the end of the current playlist. This also works for adding
entire albums instead of individual tracks.

The trick is not to screw up (again as JJZolx noted) by forgetting to
hold the selected item when you touch it.

I'm pretty sure this can also be done with the Touch's IR remote. For
that I think you use the "+" button to bring up the context menu, but
I'm not sure because I don't use the IR remote much any more.
