I read it off the display of one of the DACs, or I thought I did. Ill try your conversion settings today and see if I can hear any difference. We only have Touch's here so I don't think it will be much of a problem.
I really wish the Touch would play 24/96 AIFF files without transcoding, but being sure the transcoding is correct is a great step.
