it will never be fast and simple enough .

Squeezeboxes are more about a well maintained constant library of music
that slowly grows over they years , a collection, not about insert
random files to play in a jiffy .

It's simply the wrong tool for this , but I do recommend it for home
use with a server and a large well maintained file collection and all
the apps services and internet-radio you get .

You found the weak spot in this product.
