why would your family be upgrading? I'd turn off auto upgrade. But anyway, I'm not sure what you mean by "upgrade to LMS option". Where did you see this. In any case, you simply go to the link below, download the windows LMS 7.7.1 (windows exe not the windows home server), install on top of your 7.6.1, and you'll have 7.7.1. then your player will eventually ask to upgrade its firmware as well (or go into the menu on the TOUCH and do Settings > Advanced > Software update). Do this AFTER you have installed LMS 7.7.1 on your win7 machine.
