My wife (Chris) and I have the same issue, what we did was make a set a genres for each of us, hers all start with C_ mine all start with J_, we just have to make sure that for every CD we rip we don't use the "off the internet" genre but put it under one of ours. We haven't had any problems at all with this arrangement.
