I'm confused as to what you are trying to do. Logitech Media Server (LMS) is a *server* feeding music to SB players (e.g., a TOUCH). So at a minimum you'd need some sort of software SB player installed on the NAS (like SqueezePlay or SoftSqueeze). I very much doubt this would even work (and even then, you'd be relying on the NAS's soundcard (doubt it has one). A great thing about the SB players like the TOUCH is that the bits are delivered to it perfectly via TCP/IP with no interaction with any computer soundcard). And Triode's EDO is something that *only* works if installed on a TOUCH. Sorry if I'm misreading your post, but it seems that you may not have your mind around how the squeezebox stuff works. So you'll need another box in the chain (a player to receive the music streamed from where it is stored, i.e., the NAS). And as such, the TOUCH is a very nice "box" indeed. And this way you can keep your NAS far away from your listening post. Only the TOUCH is connected to your stereo. The NAS running LMS could be in a back room, closet, basement, etc. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94512 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
