Good that you got a refund but scratches ? The fingerprints are normal
due to the Touch screen , but scratches ?

Sounds like the previus user never got it to work properly ,network and
firewall problems sends the bugger back ,multiple reconect ions of the
power plug suggest a lot of reboots :)
