yes, definitely remove the old ALAC file from the itunes folder (and
remove it from the itunes library). Then put the newer ALAC file back in
and add back to itunes library.  Sometimes itunes keeps certain info in
its own database about a track, so simply replacing the track is not
enough to clear things.
