I'm sorry that I didn't provide some basic info. I am running on Mac OSX 10.8.
I don't believe this is a file length/tag issue because other tracks from the same album with similar file names and tags don't give me any problem. So, just to recap and to answer Gary's qualifying question: I run LMS and point it to my iTunes music folder. I do not check the "Use iTunes" option in server settings. I have one track (of 17) on an album converted from FLAC to ALAC that does not play in LMS. The same track plays fine in iTunes. If I put this same track (and the FLAC original) into a separate folder and add it to my Media folders in LMS, and then play THAT version of the track it it works fine. Manually copying the file into iTunes (instead of using the "Add to library..." command) doesn't help.
