Thanks for the two responses. I can clarify that the wired Ethernet is correctly enabled and all other flac, mp3 files and radio stations work all ok.(including the larger 96kbs 24 bit flacs) The problem is just with linn radio on the touch. I played some more and dug out a network switch and connected the new touch and the old classic to the same switch and tried linn radio again. The classic plays perfectly with no rebuffering , but the touch rebuffers approximately every 10 seconds on linn radio stations.
I am in the uk and am using bt new infinity broadband with their currently supplied router. As a secondary note, I have checked out the coax out and that is working on the new touch. The dac is the quad elite cd/digital preamp combo. I guess I could try loading an older firmware version and see if the problem is due to 7.7.2 I see that many other users of other streaming product have had linn radio rebuffering problems in the past when I google, but I have not been able to find any clues for a fix. The strange thing in my installation is that I now have a rock steady fast broadband link where it works with the classic but not with two touch's. So the logical conclusion is that there must be some sensitivity around the touch?
