Thats correct i get the same good behaviur as you when my local server
is running , I provoked a specific state with no server avaible at all
when the player booted , If there is a server all is well it get's time
and everything works as expected ? ( local or mysqueezebox.com ).
This apply when the player has booted fully and later a server shows up
.

So this is the behaviur when there is no server LMS or mysb.com but as
John explained it can take time to sync things when a server eventually
show up .

My knee jerk reaction is that this is not thoroughly designed .
The old players where actually better as they where sock puppets to the
server.
The Touch can apearently decide to keep stale info for hours :) it semi
autonomous behaviur makes it worse !
