If you are buying a player just for Spotify (or mainly for) then I would
agree Logitech and Spotify made a complete hash of it. I tried it and
Spotify constantly crashed my Touch and the user interface is pretty
damn rubbish. You must get better results with Triode's plug in as there
seems to be many happier users (I cannot run this as I run a BSD server
that is not supported by Triode).

Highest bit rates and perceived sound quality were not top of my list of
requirements as I don't use streaming services as my main source and
just wanted a service to find new music. Napster (Rhapsody) is leagues
ahead in this regard. It costs half the price of Sprotify, doesn't crash
any of my SB devices and has a far superior UI - you can actually find
relevant new music! The other bonus is that you can play independent
streams to multiple devices unlike Spotify where if you are limited to
just one stream.

Anyway, enjoy Spotify on your new Sonos but I think you may miss the
other functionality that Squeezebox offers. I'd struggle to live with
that white box in my Hi-Fi rack though!
