I would prefer a simple back box to be glued or snapped to the wall *and* then on this box the face plate would be mounted on. Not by screws (this is actually the worst in design and mechanics) but by snapping in or magnets, etc. The Touch would be ideally connected to the bottom part of the back box by utilizing the two screws on its removed base. The front plate in that case would not need to holdl any weight and would be just easily removable in order to access the inside.
In my case I have "destroyed" a new Touch (I mean it is not good for anything else and hopefully I would not need to exchange or sell it) by glueing it to the back of the existing faceplate and then then glueing plate to the wall.
