I've still not 100% proven it is the SBTs wi-fi that's causing
this, although I can't see it can be anything else.I thought it was maybe
only happening when it was disconnected from the wi-fi hotspot in my
phone and was looking for another one to talk to,such as when parked
outside my house where it'd be picking up my home wi-fi or one of my
neighbours. So this morning it was in a public car park with no wi-fi
anywhere in range and it was still going off every five minutes or
so,switched the SBT off and it was fine.

It's the car's built in alarm that's going off, which is working with an
aftermarket 2-1 upgrade alarm.I noticed with my last car (also a mk.4 VW
Golf) that when I parked my car in front of a certain building that had
a full strength wi-fi signal where I was parked,it kept on going off
repeatedly through the day. When I parked it 100 yards away where the
wi-fi signal was almost non-existent,it never went off.
