Many thanks for the reply. I already had the amp configured as you suggest and it was working fine before I moved it. But you're right it is an amp issue. After much experimentation I did a factory reset. It now works in the default mode but in the 'pure direct' high quality sound mode the subwoofer still cuts out, leaving only the front speakers. I've tried to resolve this too but without success and am now resigning myself to the probability that the amp is on its way out :=(
