Wonder if not this pure direct modes comes from the analog 2 ch pass trough the best AV amplifiers used to have ? They are not designed that way anymore everything goes trough thier digital core , which IMHO actually is a good thing . So,let's a have a shortcut button to just turn most settings to flat or off . I never used your exact make or model of reciever pure mode migth be usefull if it works as expected . So another given with modern AV recievers is to use thier digital inputs as much as possible if your sources have them . The analog inputs are really for legacy devices that can not have digital out . Sensless UI design is common these devices .
