It looks like you're at the receiving end of a phase-out rather than a switch-off of the BBC's WMA streams, and we can only speculate why the BBC are handling it as they are. I'm not sure why the xml data provided by the BBC (that the BBCiPlayer plugin uses) isn't routing to the AAC streams. A query for Triode I think.
