Just pick one , should not really mater however the spec for this DAC
says that the USB is "limited" to 24/96 since you post in the EDO tread
I assume you want to use 24/196 files ? so in this case *spdif* .

Spdif is probably easier to get going to USB seems somewhat finicky and
device depending . But just try to figure if both works .
For USB 2.0 sound you may have to figure out more about what kind of
chipset is used etc (see the history of this long tread ) USB that is
limited to 24/96 gives some vibes about how it's implemented hmm :/
