The internal dac in touch supports "only" 96kHz so EDO wont help you there . EDO makes the USB out an option and the spdiff output 192kHz .
Volume control in squeezebox is a 24 bit digital thing . I dont think you going to have any problems with this but i can't really prdeict the result i dont have this dac or the headphones .
