I recall that the Soundcheck mod may have turned off other things needed
for certain streaming. So be careful with that.  If you think the
soundcheck mod has made a great difference in the audio quality I can
only assume that you are doing a sighted (biased) listening comparison
versus a double- or single-blind test or that something is broken in
your playback chain.  There are 100s of pages of threads here on this
forum discussing all this...if you get bored you can read all about it. 
The short version of the outcome is that the Soundcheck mods either make
no difference in audio or any difference made is not necessarily better.
But it is confirmed that some of the mod can inadvertently break other
things.

When I used Tidal, I was using it through ickstream. I don't know if
that is required, but I can again confirm that it allowed me to stream
FLAC files.
