I recall that the Soundcheck mod may have turned off other things needed for certain streaming. So be careful with that. If you think the soundcheck mod has made a great difference in the audio quality I can only assume that you are doing a sighted (biased) listening comparison versus a double- or single-blind test or that something is broken in your playback chain. There are 100s of pages of threads here on this forum discussing all this...if you get bored you can read all about it. The short version of the outcome is that the Soundcheck mods either make no difference in audio or any difference made is not necessarily better. But it is confirmed that some of the mod can inadvertently break other things.
When I used Tidal, I was using it through ickstream. I don't know if that is required, but I can again confirm that it allowed me to stream FLAC files. *Home:* VortexBox 4TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio (all ethernet) *Cottage:* VBA 3TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win8(64) > LMS 7.9 > Squeezelite *Spares:* Touch(3), Radio(3), Boom, SB3, CONTROLLER *Controllers:* iPhone6 & iPadAir2 (iPeng8 & Squeezepad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win7(64) laptop *Files:* ripping: dbpoweramp > FLAC; post-rip: mp3tag, PerfectTunes; Streaming: Spotify ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104740 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
