Strange, since i use spotify on my squeezebox touch ive got the same problem.
Sometimes, when i change a playlist in the spotify app, it locks up and after a few seconds reboots the touch, and then it starts playing that playlist. I've re-installed the latest 7.8 firmware (was using the edo mod), and even got a new power supply, but it seems that the problem stayed.
