Hi Ive been running six Squeezebox Touchs for nearly four years. I have my music stored a Netgear Ready NAS Duo V2 NAS. I am not at all technically minded when it comes to computers. Setting up the above system was something of a nightmare for me and I had quite bit of help posting on various forums to get it all going.
Im keen to try a new DAC with one of my SBTs using the EDO plugin. However I have been told that I will need firmware version 7.8 to work with this particular DAC. Currently I have version 7.7.3 r16676 installed. I have tried the DAC with my current SBT and it just does not work. http://s2.postimg.org/mesbzdh55/EXPLORER2_SBT_FIRMWARE_PHOTO2.jpg19932 My first question is how do I update the firmware? Do I have to uninstall the version of LMS on my NAS or is there any way of doing it from the touch itself? Also; what firmware do I actually install? I have been pointed toward 'this page' (http://downloads.slimdevices.com/LogitechMediaServer_v7.8.0/?C=D;O=A) There is a long list of downloads that I dont understand. Im guessing that I need this one: *logitechmediaserver-7.8.0-arm-readynas.bin 27-Mar-2014 21:27 23M ReadyNAS Add-On* My NAS (I believe) uses an Arm processor and Im guessing that this is right download; but do I need any of the other things in the list the descriptions mean nothing to me. Any help or advice is very much appreciated; please keep any explanations clear and simple! Thanks. +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: EXPLORER2_SBT_FIRMWARE_PHOTO2.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=19932| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jelly Tussle's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65413 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105182
