My old PC shat the bed, so I bought a new one expressly for music as I
had over a TB of music stored on my old machine and external drive.

Now, I have multiple failures.

1. Dupes. I have 2-3-4 and sometimes more copies of a whole mess of
my library. Some are due to tracks being contained on different
albums, and different versions, but most are just dupes on one CD.

2. "Unable to find" message on my Touch when I selecet a song and hit
play.

3. More than one copy of a CD. I suspect that this has something to do
with item 1, above.

4. When I try to manipulate anything on LMS software, I get the red
message "You are not authorized to make changes. When I follow the
steps to sign in, I get the same crap over and over again. It's
maddening.

5. Partial CDs. I look up Jimi Hendrix and there might only be 2 or 3
songs displayed for any one CD.

I have tried wiping the machine with the reset button. This did not
help.

This USED to be the best piece of audio gear that I own due to its
simplicity. My stereo is in one room, my thousand plus CD's another.
This made it SO easy. Now, its all crap and the machine is only useful
to listen to Pandora or Amazon, not my music collection.

Any suggestions???

I am planning on buying a used Apple MacBook and setting it up near my
stereo. I will also plug a TB or 2 storage device into the Mac. But,
will I have to reburn ALL of my music to get it back to "normal"? I
used this thing for years with zero issues. Now, its largely worthless.
I am verklempt beyond description.

Throw me a bone please, or suggest a replacement that won't break the
bank.

Thanks.
